you will find details of our lovely holiday homes – available for
you to rent – in the wonderful area of Spain known as the Costa
de la Luz – literally “Coast of Light”, also known as
the Spanish Algarve, because it is on the Spanish side of the border
with Portugal.
But here it is less crowded, and many things are much cheaper than in
Portugal. This is the real Spain: tranquil, peaceful, beautiful. No
high rise buildings – they’re strictly banned! This is how
the other costas used to be – 50 years ago!
If you like beaches, there are miles of them. Glorious golden-white
sand on wide beaches backed by sand dunes and pine trees – one of
our properties has a panoramic view of such a beach.
If you like golf, there are plenty of prestigious courses – one of our properties is right in the middle of one!
If you like walking, the opportunities are endless. Whether you want
daily exercise along the miles of beaches or more strenuous walking in
the hills and mountains, it’s all here – on the doorstep.
If you like cities, the fabulous city of Seville is just up the road by
fast motorway. The provincial city of Huelva, with its historic
buildings and commerce, is even nearer. And the lively town of Ayamonte
near the Portuguese border has a fascination of its own, including a
marina and plenty of shops.
And everywhere you will find plenty of bars and restaurants, including
many in quaint fishing villages where locally caught seafood is a
speciality.
There is an average of 320 days of sunshine per year here, so it is ideal for visiting at any time of year.
